Love Yourself Challenge – February Workouts – Day 1

Hi Snatchers!

Today is Day one of the “love yourself challenge” by Fit body by Ashley. I am giving a disclaimer; I am not being sponsored by her at all I just thought this was a great challenge to be apart of. I have been messing around for months honestly! I have followed her on youtube since the summer and I love her hip hop videos and also her afro-beats. Yes afro-beats HITT! You need to try it out! It is 20-minutes of good feel music, sweat, and smiles! I tell you the time flies by when you do it haha.

So back to the challenge, I am a part of Ashley’s membership, finally after delaying it for about 5 months. I tried to justify not being able to afford it but ladies I have a budget list and I have more than enough to budget $37 a month haha. I mean I am WORTH definitely $37! Like come on Shay spend more on yourself ! Well, I finally did so and the community is amazing, such wonderful like-minded women wanting to be their best selves each day. We all want to love the person in the mirror and we want to snatch our happiness, though our method may be different we just want to be happy. so what better way to start February than a love yourself challenge right?! 28 days of fun-filled dance routines and great music!

The goals I set up for myself were different. So nutrition I am striving to reach a minimum of 100g in protein. I have such a difficult time doing so. I am also tracking my food and getting a minimum of 100oz of water (I use to do over 132 lol gotta build back up). The daily movement goal is for me to work out at least 4 times a week, 20-30 minutes, and 4000 – 6000 steps. Today was Day 1 and I woke up just buzzing with energy, maybe I was a 5 year old having a sugar rush haha. The workout was a lower-body hip hop workout for the quads and glutes. Lord almighty I was sweating! On my IG you can see just the sweat glistening on my body. There were donkey kids, fire hydrants, pulses, and twerking haha Ayyyy shake what your mama gave ya!

I am happy to let you all know I crushed all my goals today! I did 40 active minutes, 6,401 steps, 103 oz of water, tracked all my meals (was able to actually get breakfast, lunch, and dinner today!). I also achieved 103 grams of protein. I’m over the moon with my day 1 progress, I definitely want to keep the momentum up to get back into the routine. I also want to get back on track with my meal prep, it makes it easier for me especially lunch during work. So I’m going to keep you all updated on my progress! So on day 8th, I’ll let yall know where I’m at. I was going to do a daily blog but I think that is a bit too much for me honestly and I want to be transparent with you all. I know my limitations so I gotta stick with them.
